Donating its own products as a food manufacturer and practicing sustained shared growth with the local community

Saehan Grain (CEO Alvin Lee), a food manufacturer based in Gyeongnam, Korea, has continued its community giving by delivering products from its own production lines to the Masan Welfare Center for the Disabled for the holiday season.
On September 18, Saehan Grain delivered approximately 5 million won worth of its own products, including Ocho Ball and snacks made with Korean wheat, to the Masan Welfare Center for the Disabled. The donated products will be used for the center’s users and neighbors in the local community.
The donation is meaningful in that it is not a one-off event but part of an ongoing community activity. Since 2024, Saehan Grain has steadily donated its products to the center around the major holidays, maintaining its ties with the local community.
Saehan Grain is a food manufacturer that produces a variety of snack products, including grain-based snacks and traditional Korean confections. Drawing on what it does best, food manufacturing, the company carries out its giving by sharing the products it makes with the local community.
The company explained that, rather than holding one-time events, it places importance on creating community activities it can sustain by using the products and capabilities it already has. These activities are also tied to the Social (S) pillar of the ESG initiatives Saehan Grain is pursuing, which centers on shared growth and engagement with the local community.
“As a company that has operated and grown in this region, we believe that simply being able to share the products we make with our neighbors is meaningful in itself,” said Alvin Lee, CEO of Saehan Grain. “We believe it is more important to keep doing what the company can do, consistently, than to do something big just once.”
“As Saehan Grain grows, we will keep looking for ways to move forward together with the local community and continue giving activities that make use of our products and capabilities,” Lee added.
Going forward, Saehan Grain plans to continue activities that share its products and capabilities as a food manufacturer with the local community, including its holiday product donations.
